Voices of Liberation Art Exhibition curated by anti-racist therapist, Mona Laskar, aims to challenge the historical erasure, gatekeeping, and whitewashing that pervade the art industry. The exhibition has been curated to amplify the narratives of seven artists, reflecting the resilience, hope, and courage that emerge from the ongoing fight against racism and social injustice.
💫 The theme is based on Mona's belief that art and narrative are powerful tools for social change and collective healing when approached through a decolonial lens.
🕊️ Mona invites both artists and viewers to explore the following questions to join the liberating movement:
What does liberation from racism mean? How do we hold ourselves accountable for dismantling systems of oppression? What fuels our strength and courage to continue the fight against racism? What is our collective voice of liberation?
